Ramble ramble ramble ramble. Ergh.

First and foremost, I want to say I never really cared about the whole 'bands going mainstream' thing. I know a couple of people who, if one of their favourite bands suddenly became popular amongst the poser/look-at-me-I-heard-Simple-Plan-on-the-radio-and-now-I'm-PUNK-RAWK crew, would suddenly become, for reasons unbeknownst to me at the time, extremely aggravated. For me though, I never really gave a damn. Kinda sucks, but at least the band's becoming more successful. I figured, as long as I can still listen to the band, and the band is going strong, then hey, more power to them because more people listen to them.

Then, I found out Breaking Benjamin was about to become poser-fodder.

GULP. Hold up, my lunch is coming back to me now. Oh, there it went, all over the keyboard. Niiiiiice.

I finally know what all those guys went through. Granted, there's a difference between being a fan and liking some of the songs from a group. And granted, there are MUCH MUCH bigger fans of BB than me. But still, that doesn't take away from the fact that Breaking Benjamin is an awesome band who, unfortunately, seems to be on the cusp of being poser-fodder. I've seen one person put these guys as one of his 'favourite bands'. I seriously hope that dude has really listened to a lot of BB songs, and isn't just putting BB on there because he heard a friend mention them once before, and decided to bandwagon jump. And this is even before they release 'Forget It', my favourite song, but still a deliberate attempt at commercialism. Once that song gets released, becomes overplayed and attracts a slew of new fans, most of which only like the group because they think Ben Burnley is a hottie or because they think that's the "real" BB sound (think Hoobastank and 'The Reason', i.e. they released that song, it wasn't their usual stuff, and it got wayyyy overplayed), then all hell will probably break loose. Sucks, don't it?

Now, I know I might cop a lot of flak for talking all this stuff, coming from a self-proclaimed bandwagon jumper. But I always try to make an informed decision before I jump. I try to really like a band and like a lot of their songs before I say I'm a fan, because otherwise, I'm just a guy who likes their stuff. And I know whatever the hell I decided to write here may not have made ANY sense, but hey, it's 2:47AM, I'm still awake, and I was sure as hell bored. So hey, enjoy the ramblings of a crazy man. Anyways, later days!

A week from now...

Well, this looks to be the second time I'm writing this entry...stupid computer...well technically it was my fault, but hey, screw the computer...anyways, in approximately one week, Year 12 half yearly exams start...which means, in approximately one week, my 3unit Maths class' motto of "Below State Average" becomes a bitchin' reality ...I'm not REALLY worried, just a smidge...We received past papers for 2unit Maths, and all I really need to say is "Below State Average"...Also, I'm looking forward to getting decimated for my English Exam and Oral Assessment Task...it's official: English is my academic weak point...well, for assessments and exams anyway...I mean, I get good results in class, but for exams and assessments I get DESTROYED...oh well, lucky the exam doesn't count towards the HSC, my teacher told us to take it as a practice run for the actual HSC, so ...anyways, enough of this loser talk...I'm really lookin' forward to the holidays as an opportunity to chillax after the exams and such, and plus my cousin/bestest friend is coming from the Phils, so ...and yeah, hopefully everyone gets to hang out these Autumn holidays, which is the best out of all the holidays, 'cause Autumn womps ass ......anyways, later days!

Uh-oh.

Well, I was supposed to write this blog entry last night, but the space thingo was stuffed up ...anyways...year 12's starting to pick up now...the assessments are coming in, the exams are coming up, and the amount of time left to study for them is going down...oh well, looks like it's time for me to pull my socks up...It's all an elaborate conspiracy: they hold Parent-Teacher night before the exams...this way, your parents are convinced that you're doing fine in school, only for you to be sprung with a craptastic exam mark...Why do teachers do this? Easy: They suck balls. I don't know how it's all a conspiracy, but hey, shut up, it is, that's my story and I'm sticking to it... Anyways, I've rediscovered my inner owl, the one that doesn't let me sleep until 4AM...it's laid dormant recently because of school; I've been sleeping early...BUT, it's back now, giving me time to do my English work ...oh, and going through two cans of Coke and a bag of Skittles kinda kept me awake as well...But hey, I had to make up for the five hours of procrastination, right? ...anyways, later days!
