Firstly, something weird happened this weekend: I actually enjoyed the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities (well, as a whole anyways; it had some borespots here and there). This year's Dunk Contest was more in the vein of Vince's domination in Golden State eight years ago (HOLY SHIT, has it been that long?). It seemed more like a coronation ceremony for Dwight (FINALLY, making up for last year's highway robbery), but nonetheless, it was pretty entertaining. Also, the All-Star game actually featured effort from both teams! Hooray! All is right with the NBA!*
Secondly! Frente! - Bizarre Love Triangle. I was in the car, and Jess played this song from her iPod. I figured it sounded familiar, but I couldn't quite put my finger on why. Then I realized it was THIS song. Haven't heard this song since I was a kid, and I've always loved it. Now it's on repeat. Good times!
Everytime I think of you
I get a shot right through
Into a bolt of blue
It's no problem of mine
But it's a problem I find
Living a life that I can't leave behind
There's no sense in telling me
The wisdom of a fool won't set you free
But that's the way that it goes
And it's what nobody knows
And everyday, my confusion grows
Everytime I see you falling
I get down on my knees and pray
I'm waiting for that final moment
You'll say the words that I can't say
I get a shot right through
Into a bolt of blue
It's no problem of mine
But it's a problem I find
Living a life that I can't leave behind
There's no sense in telling me
The wisdom of a fool won't set you free
But that's the way that it goes
And it's what nobody knows
And everyday, my confusion grows
Everytime I see you falling
I get down on my knees and pray
I'm waiting for that final moment
You'll say the words that I can't say
Thirdly, the four weeks worth of facial hair is finally goneskies. After nicknames such as "Captain Caveman," "Jesus" and "Ryan Gosling" (okay, so the last one was a little on the self-appointed side ) and days of irritation, I felt it was time for a change. Change which came in the form of an hour's worth of shaving. Note to self: the longer I put off shaving, the harder it gets to shave my beard.
Finally, this cracked me up. I like the song and all, but I chuckled to myself a little bit after seeing the title of the song and then reading the lyrics. Interesting!
That does it for me. Uni in two/three weeks! Anyways, over and out.

*Provided my Lakers make it through all the injuries, and succeed in making Mitch Kupchak look like even more of a genius by winning the title this year.
END COMMUNICATION.
