And now, for tonight's special presentation, I'm gonna take a bite from the lyrical stylings of one Mr. Kanye West, one Mr. Mos Def and one Mr. Freeway. Everybody, MOVE!
Note: this isn't supposed to be a set of lyrics. It's just a straight swaggerjack to switch things up for this entry.
Two words.
Mart Pags.
So lazy.
Slow fucking
Internet.
Can't do
Uni work.
Need new
password!
Everybody, MOVE!
Two weeks
into
Third Year,
already
on break.
Weird shit,
no sense,
schoolwork
all crammed
into
twelve weeks.
Too much,
not enough,
Everybody, MOVE!
Two words.
8 Mile.
Eminem.
Haven't seen
in ages.
Just want
to watch
fat guy
rhyming in
parking lot,
something 'bout
three-fiddy,
blah blah
et cetera,
Everybody, MOVE!
Two words.
Getting fat.
Either that
or bad scale.
Running laps
every week,
trying to
get fit.
Fonz said,
"Lift weights,"
but I'm
too lazy.
My shirts
won't fit.
Probably
just stick
to running laps
and Ab Ripper,
Everybody, MOVE!
Okay, that's enough of that. I'm sure I'm gonna regret this entry when I look through my blog a couple of months from now. ROFL! But hey, it's something different. Anyways, later days!

The One with the Silence Before the Storm
I've always had a thing for lists (hello, mild obsessive-compulsive disorder), so I thought this would be something kinda fun to do before I go to sleep.
Anywho, Third Year starts in approximately nine-and-a-half hours. Well, technically, it started last Monday, but I "didn't need to attend" (read: CBF coming to) Week Zero. But my first lecture kicks off 10AM today, so I figured I'd prepare a checklist, just to see how prepared I am. Here goes nothing!
Addendum: wow, apparently it only takes about three months for someone to completely forget where everything goes in their Uni bag. Schveets!
Also, I happened upon a list I made at the start of my Holidays, detailing the things I was most looking forward to this past summer. Here goes more nothing! (...How does that actually work? MORE nothing? How can you have more of NOTHING? In other news, WHY am I thinking philosophically at 12:35AM? HOW many sentences can I have with a word typed in capital letters? How many questions can I string together?)
(Okay, I think that answered the last one. Six questions.)
12:44AM. Anyways, over and out!

But my first lecture kicks off 10AM today, so I figured I'd prepare a checklist, just to see how prepared I am. Here goes nothing!
- [x] School supplies (i.e. pens, paper, etc.) [Well, I've got a lot left over from last year. So that settles that.]
- [ ] Books [I can buy those tomorrow.]
- [x] iPod [Never leave home without it.]
- [x] Nintendo DS [I'm fixin' to get my nerd on.]
- [x] Timetable [Albeit printed in a really light red, thanks to printer malfunctions. Note to self: need ink.]
- [x] Allowance [Minus $27.50 tomorrow morning. Thank you, weekly TravelPass.]
- [ ] Sense of readiness for upcoming year [Okay, seriously, I've spent the last three-and-a-half months doing NOTHING related to Uni work. How prepared can I actually be? My MSN status message probably says it best: "not ready. but probably as ready as i'll ever be." B-e-a-utiful. ]
Addendum: wow, apparently it only takes about three months for someone to completely forget where everything goes in their Uni bag. Schveets!

(Okay, I think that answered the last one. Six questions.)
- Haircut [I actually got TWO haircuts this summer. Short-ish spiky hair, what up! This time around, I shunned the "ZOMG join the Military already!" look, but it was still short enough to spike.]
- Belated Halloween Party [Wins several awards: Best Party Ever; Best Way To Kick Off Summer; Best Costume Design; Best Drunkies (to Julz, Karl, Villon and Liz); Best Cleanup Job In History]
- Finishing Resistance/FFXII/FFIII/Pokemon Diamond [Done, Done, Losing Interest But May Possibly Be Done By Next Sem, Done]
- Playing NBA 2K8 [Fun, as long as my PS3 isn't freezing! Sonofabitch.]
- NBA Games [Abundance of Lakers games this summer = SCHVEETS.]
- Beach! [Well, we went ONCE? Does that count?]
- Repairing sleeping patterns [Thank you, FFXII, for keeping me awake until 5AM. I fixed it for ONE day. Then it went down the drain straight after. Summer, what up!]
- My results. [Maintaining Distinction average over my first two years, WHAT UP!]
12:44AM. Anyways, over and out!

Wow. For three months of nothingness, that went by pretty fast. It seems like it was only yesterday when I was finishing up my exams, looking forward to my summer freedom. A quarter of the year later, throw in a couple of parties, a bunch of friends-time and a lot of chilling, and BAM! I'm less than a week away from going back to Uni. Okay, bullet point time!
Thus, as another sun-soaked (well, it was half-sunny, half-soaked) season fades away, it's time to look ahead to...ahh, crap! Uni until late June! NOT COOL! Wake me up when July comes around! Anyways, over and out.

END COMMUNICATION.
- I've nicknamed this past summer 'The Summer of Storms,' both because of the funny nickname we've given one of our friends, and the fact that the weather's been so FIZZUCKED for the last three months! One day it's ridonculously hot and sunny, then the next day it's PISSING down. A lot different to the kind of summer I'm used to: three months of "FUCK, TURN UP THE AIRCON!" weather.
- Wow, we only went to the beach ONCE this summer. =| Probably thanks to a combination of laziness and messed up weather. Then again, we DID get to go to Jamberoo, which was fun as hell. Oh, and thanks to Reyes, we got to swim at the Newbury Clubhouse whenever he was free, which was a pretty sweet deal.
- We got back into wrestling in a big way this summer. SmackDown parties every other day, wrestling on mattresses/in the pool/wherever we can.
- I'm finally making an effort in moving on. Well, I made an effort before. I just didn't make much of an effort when I started slipping back into it. ROFL! On the serious tip, it was good to get it over and done with kinda early in the summer, so that I could still enjoy the majority of my holiday.
- I finally finished FFXII! It took me (almost exactly) a whole year, 130+ hours worth of gameplay. I felt bad about not playing it, seeing as I got a bit discouraged once I got stuck. But then, I started to get into the groove of things. Before I knew it, I was sucked right back in, so I made an effort to buckle down and get it done. After about a month or so straight of playing it until 5-6AM, it now stands as my favourite Final Fantasy game.
- I can't believe I only got drunk a grand total of TWICE this summer. Then again, one of those times, THIS happened. So maybe that was enough drunkenness for the whole season. Also, it's not like summer's ever really been a big drinking season for me. That's what Uni Semesters are good for!
- Newbury basketball sessions every Wednesday! And, when we were really amped, on weekends as well! Thanks to these, and the aforementioned swimming sessions at the Clubhouse, Newbury kinda became my home-away-from-home this summer.
- I got a new laptop this summer! I don't exactly know why, seeing as my old one was completely serviceable, but my guess is that my folks wanted the old laptop for themselves, so they bought me an updated one for myself. Umm, sweet. No complaints here.
- Karl, Matt and I were supposed to run regularly throughout the summer. The first time we did it, we VOWED to make the running sessions a weekly thing, to try and get in better shape. Two months later, we went for our second group run. Awesome.
- Wow, I only bought ONE pair of shoes this summer, and NO shirts. Weird.
- I've been too lazy to keep myself up-to-date with all the blog sites I usually frequent. I think I needed to take a break, seeing as I wasn't really in the mood to buy anything this summer. I do, however, expect this to change once the need to procrastinate kicks in during the upcoming Semester.
- Songs to remember summer by: One-Winged Angel; Those Who Fight Further; Theme of the Empire; Silence Before the Storm (geez, Final Fantasy overkill); The Archers' Bows Have Broken; Paris, Tokyo; Gold Watch; Bizarre Love Triangle; Secret Heart (Feist and Ron Sexsmith); Maybe This Christmas; All This Love; Knights of Cydonia; Reptilia; Supermassive Black Hole; White Rabbit; Superstar (both from Lupe Fiasco and The Carpenters); There She Goes (The La's and Sixpence); A Bad Dream; Reason Why; Hold You In My Arms; Stolen; Running Up That Hill; Worn Me Down; Gatekeeper; One Evening; All Kinds of Time; Drama; Party Life; Success; Fidelity; Apres Moi; Better; It's Gonna Be Me; Valerie; Gimme More
- Overall, it's been a really good holiday. I've still never had a job, and I pretty much did nothing but chill for three months, but that's how I wanted it to be. As long as I got to hang out with my friends, play a lot of basketball, play a lot of video games and spend time with my family. This summer was pretty damn good.
Thus, as another sun-soaked (well, it was half-sunny, half-soaked) season fades away, it's time to look ahead to...ahh, crap! Uni until late June! NOT COOL! Wake me up when July comes around! Anyways, over and out.
