I blocked out the blogosphere for a good 8 months or so this year, and for good reason: with life the way it was, being frugal was the best option. Thus, staying away from things that might tempt me was a necessity. Also, nothing really got me fired up for a while.

A couple of months ago, something (I don't know what; don't ask) clicked in me, and I decided to catch up and revisit the usual sites.
