Now that almost all the pics from Saturday night have been uploaded (only Liezl's left to go), I think it's time for the final word on my annual late Halloween soiree. Too lazy (and sore) to blog properly, so I'm just gonna look back on my list of irrational worries and let hindsight work its magic.

• "People getting bored. A dull, lifeless party is what I'm most scared of. Keeping everyone entertained is Job #1."
  
  I think I did a pretty good job with this. Everyone kept themselves entertained with drinks, conversation, mingling, music and picture-taking. Awesome.
  
  
• "Job #1A would then be keeping the house in order. This is why I stay sober at my own parties. If anything gets broken, you can find my name in the adoption listings."
  
  Cleaning wasn't too bad this year! It was actually fairly tolerable. Plus, we kept the house itself clean, aside from needing a mop job in the morning. Other than that, good times!
  
  
• "Trying to get the various disparate groups together to have fun as one party entity. Here's hoping everyone has fun mingling."
  
  This one wasn't a problem at all. Lucky for me, I have sociable friends.
  
  
• "If a lot of people sleep over, I'm not gonna have room for them. The couch is off-limits. So is Fonz & Crisa's room."
  
  Sorry, RD and Jeanette! Pat solo-ed the bed, and I didn't even know he was sleeping over! HAHAHA.
  
  
• "I might run out of alcohol again. Recurring theme at my parties."
  
  I actually had extras this year. Well-preparedness, what up!
  
  
• "Here's hoping people can actually use the bathroom this year."
  
  Done and done. Didn't stop people from peeing in the alleyway, though.
  
  
• "What if I don't decide on a costume by then?"
  
  I managed to decide on a costume. It just got so hot that I needed to change costumes about 2 or 3 times throughout the night.
  
  
• "The weather could be disastrous. Best believe my eyes are gonna be glued to the Weather Channel in the upcoming week."
  
  Fortunately, the weather took a turn for the better JUST as Saturday morning rolled around. Hot and windy throughout the night, instead of rainy and clammy. Good party weather, mos def.

Alright, it's getting too painful to type. Might post later. Hit the big two-oh in a month for the first time EVAR!
